Privacy policy

Preamble

This privacy policy (updated on 07/17/2025) defines and informs users of how ARIS uses and protects the personal data they transmit to the company via the ARIS website (hereinafter the “Site”).

Like the Terms and Conditions, any access and/or use of the website implies acceptance of and compliance with all the terms of this Privacy Policy and its unconditional acceptance. It therefore constitutes a contract between ARIS and the user.

This Privacy Policy may be modified or supplemented at any time by ARIS, particularly to comply with any legislative, regulatory, jurisprudential, or technological developments. In such a case, the date of its update will be clearly identified within this policy. These modifications are binding on the user as soon as they are posted online. Users should therefore regularly consult this Privacy and Cookie Policy to be aware of any changes.

1. Personal data

ARIS undertakes that the collection and processing of personal information carried out within the Site is in accordance with Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, as amended, relating to information technology, files and freedoms, hereinafter referred to as the “Information Technology and Freedoms” Law and the General Data Protection Regulation of April 27, 2016 (hereinafter “GDPR”).

Therefore, ARIS informs its users of the following points:

1.1 Definition of personal data

“Personal Data” means any information that could result in the identification of an individual.

1.2 Processing of personal data

“Processing” of personal data includes any operation performed on personal data, whether manually or by automated means, including collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

1.3 Data controller

The data controller is ARIS, SAS, a simplified joint-stock company with capital of €603,684.10, registered with the RCS of Le Havre under number 393 361 985 and whose registered office is located at 36 RUE HENRI TERNON, 76133 EPOUVILLE, Tel. +33 (0)2 32 79 25 79.

1.4 Nature of the data collected

Only data necessary and relevant to the purposes pursued is collected (principle of proportionality). This may include:

  • Last name, first name
    Email address
    Telephone number
Any other personal data that may be useful for the purposes set out in Article 1.5 below.

The information that ARIS may collect comes from:

  • Either the user’s personal contact information when requesting contact or a quote
  • Or data generated by the user’s browsing on the platform via cookies.

If the aforementioned data is provided online, ARIS may also collect it offline (for example, via a business card voluntarily given to a company employee or in a signature sent in an email to an employee). This privacy policy will therefore apply regardless of the means of collection.

Furthermore, ARIS may use tools or software that may collect non-personal data via the user’s device, in compliance with applicable laws.

“Non-personal data” means any information that does not result in the identification of an individual.

This data is anonymous, processed in aggregate form, and is not linked to any of the user’s personal data.

1.5 Purpose of the data collected

Personal data is collected for ARIS’s business purposes, such as the sale of products and services, marketing and advertising campaigns, the ongoing development of the site’s features and services to better meet user needs, or compliance with reporting obligations required by law.

Depending on the case, the uses are as follows:

To allow the user to request information. Furthermore, by providing their email address, the user authorizes ARIS to use it to send them commercial or marketing messages.

In this sense, the company may also use this email address for administrative purposes or other non-marketing purposes (for example, to notify the user of important changes to the Site, or for other reasons described in Section 1.9).

1.6 Storage Duration

The data provided by the user is kept by ARIS for the entire duration of the contractual relationship resulting from sending the contact form.

1.7 User Rights

Under current regulations, the user retains control over their personal data and is therefore free to control its existence, purpose, content, and scope at any time.

In accordance with the French Data Protection Act and the GDPR, users may exercise the following rights free of charge and through the service indicated below:

Right of Access
The right to obtain confirmation from the data controller that personal data is being processed, and, where applicable, the ability to learn the purposes of the processing, the category of data used, the recipients of the data, the retention period or the criteria used to determine this period, the right to request rectification and erasure of data, the restriction of their processing and the ability to object to it, the right to file a complaint with the CNIL (French Data Protection Authority), and information regarding any transfer of personal data to a third country.

Right of rectification
Right to obtain from the controller the updating or rectification of inaccurate personal data.

Right to erasure
Right to obtain from the controller the erasure of personal data when such data is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which it is processed, when the data subject withdraws their consent, when they object to processing pursuant to their right to object, or when the processing is unlawful.

Right of restriction
Right to obtain from the controller the restriction of processing when the processing is unlawful, when the data is no longer necessary for the purpose of processing but is still useful for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, or when the data subject has objected to processing pursuant to their right to object.

Right to data portability
Right to receive the data provided to the controller in a readable, structured, and commonly used format and the ability to transfer it without hindrance to another controller.

Right to object
Right to object at any time, for reasons relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data, in particular when such data is processed for prospecting, profiling, or for historical, scientific, or statistical research purposes. The controller may continue this processing if it proves that it is necessary for a legitimate and compelling reason that overrides the interests, rights, and freedoms of the data subject.

These rights apply to all of the user’s personal data.

The user may exercise these rights by contacting:

By post to the following address:

ARIS
User Database Management Service
36 RUE HENRI TERNON, 76133 EPOUVILLE

By email to the following address: info@aris-services.com

ARIS has one month from receipt of the request to provide a response.

In certain cases, the user may also exercise these rights directly:

  • Via the online form
  • Regarding cookies, the user has the direct means of opposition specified above in paragraph 2.3.

If the user believes that the processing of their personal data does not comply with the laws and regulations in force, they may file a complaint with the CNIL.

1.8 Data security and recipients

ARIS is committed to ensuring the protection and security of the personal data that the user chooses to provide, in order to ensure its confidentiality and prevent it from being falsified, damaged, destroyed, or disclosed to unauthorized third parties.

The company therefore uses physical, electronic, and procedural security measures that are, in principle, sufficient to protect this data against misuse, loss, and unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, and destruction.

However, although ARIS makes every effort to protect personal data, given the inevitable risks of data transmission over the Internet, it cannot guarantee complete protection against all errors occurring during the transmission of personal data that are beyond ARIS’s reasonable control.

Since personal data may be confidential, access to it is restricted to employees or contractors who need to know it to perform their duties.

All persons with access to users’ personal data are bound by a duty of confidentiality and are subject to disciplinary and/or other sanctions if they fail to comply with these obligations.

1.9 Transfer of personal data

ARIS may disclose personal information to third parties if it believes such disclosure is necessary for technical reasons (e.g., hosting services) or to protect the company’s legal interests (e.g., in the event of an acquisition or merger with a third-party company or a total or partial liquidation).

Therefore, by using the site, the user consents to ARIS sending their personal data to the aforementioned third parties and acknowledges that it will be processed in accordance with their own privacy policies.

ARIS may also disclose such personal information if required to do so by law or if it believes in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to comply with legal action (e.g., warrant, subpoena, or other court order), or to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of the company, its customers, or the public.

These transfers may be made by any method ARIS deems appropriate and in accordance with applicable law.

1.10 Links to other websites and social networks

The Site may occasionally contain links to third-party websites. As these websites have their own privacy policies, ARIS declines all responsibility for the use made by these sites of the information collected when the user clicks on these links.
