1 - Definition
An lnsulating blanket is a casing made of stitched glass fabric filled with insulating material.
This blanket is held in place by straps, velcro or hooks.

2 - Use of the blanket
These blankets are used on removable equipment (valve, flange, manhole, etc.) and any other equipment requiring frequent intervention.

 
     
 

3 - advantage of the blankets
This insulating technique has many advantages compared to traditional insolation:
- light weight
- flexible in fitting and can be altered
- no thermal bridge
- shape can be changed with no loss of efficiency.

4 - Usable Materials
many kinds of materials are used for both the casing and the stuffing.
     

Casing
- uncoated glass fabric
- coated glass fabric
- aluminium coated glass fabric
- stainless steel coated glass fabric
- high temperature fabric

inner stuffing
- glass or rock wool panel
- glass or rock wool fabric
- glass or rock wool stuffing
- mechanically bonded glass fibre

- straps and buckles
- bands of gripping tape
- hooks and stainless steel or brass wire
     
 

5 - Manufacturing process
Based on a diagram provided with dimensions by the requestor on a preproduction form, the workshop produces templates, cuts and assembles fabric and stuffs the casings

6 - Fitting
Our product is easy to fit, on-site,by non-specialist personnel.
